... in Deutschland und Israel? Vom 20. Juli (Deutschland ) bis zum 11. Oktober 2015 (Israel) werden diese Fragen im Rahmen eines künstlerischen Projekts für Jugendliche zur Diskussion stehen.

Die Idee
Welche Bedeutung hat der Holocaust und die Erinnerung daran für junge Erwachsene und ihr (politisches) Handeln heute? Die VeranstalterInnen suchen 18 Jugendliche aus Deutschland und Israel, im Alter von 18 bis 23 Jahren, um Antworten auf diese Frage zu finden. Dafür recherchieren die TeilnehmerInnen die Geschichte ihrer Groß-und Urgroßeltern. Die Ergebnisse werden auf einer Webseite präsentiert.
Projekt
Die Webseite ist angedacht als eine visuelle Pinnwand, auf der ergebnisoffen die individuelle Auseinandersetzung der TeilnehmerInnen dargestellt wird. Das können zum Beispiel sein: Rechercheergebnisse, Notizen und Erinnerungen der eigenen Familiengeschichte und filmische sowie journalistische Ergebnisse der Auseinandersetzung. Fester Bestandteil ist die Realisierung eines Kurzfilms.
Das erwartet die TeilnehmerInnen
iPad und Equipment
Jugendaustausch in Deutschland bzw. Israel
Vorbereitung durch HistorikerInnen und PädagogInnen
Workshops zur Vermittlung filmischer und journalistischer Grundlagen
Unterstützung während der Projektphase
Zertifikat und DVD mit allen entstandenen Kurzfilmen
Der Zeitplan
Das Projekt läuft über drei Monate und besteht aus drei Phasen:
1.Phase:
Kennenlernen und 1. Praxisworkshop in Deutschland: 20. bis 27. Juli 2015
erster Austausch mit allen TeilnehmerInnen
Inhaltliches Seminar
Einführung in die Kamera- und Tontechnik, Grundlagen des filmischen Erzählens
Dreh erster Filmsequenzen
Grundlagen der Schnitttechnik und der Materialsicherung, Schnitt und Präsentation erster filmischer Arbeiten
Grundlagen des journalistischen Erzählens und Aufbereitung multimedialer Inhalte, Verfassen eines kurzer Texte
Ideenentwicklung und Storyboard für einen Kurzfilm
Ausflug nach Berlin
2. Phase:
2. Praxisworkshops (Zwischenstand) – Mitte/Ende August (2,5 Tage) im jeweiligen Heimatland
Besprechung der bisherigen Arbeiten auf der Webseite, Ergänzungen
Besprechung des gedrehten Materials für Kurzfilm, Nachdrehs
Materialsicherung für den Feinschnitt
3. Phase:
Projektabschluss und Präsentation der Kurzfilme in Israel 04. bis 11.Oktober 2015
Auswertung des Projekts
Besprechung der Kurzfilme
Präsentation der Kurzfilme im Kino
Besuch in Yad Vashem
Ein Tag am Meer in Tel Aviv

2. Motivation, warum ihr an dem Projekt teilnehmen wollt (max. 1 Seite)
3. Zusammenfassung eurer Familiengeschichte während der NS-Zeit, soweit bekannt (max. 2 Seiten)

Anmerkung: Vorgesehen ist ein kleiner Eigenanteil in Höhe von 110€/TeilnehmerInnen. Dies ist abhängig von den finanziellen Möglichkeiten der Teilnehmenden. Ausnahmen sind möglich.
Veranstalter des Projekts sind der ABC Bildungs- und Tagungszentrum e.V. in Kooperation mit dem Erasmus-Programm und der israelischen Begegnungsstätte Beit Ben-Yehuda

REMEMBERING
A visual participation project for teens between 18 and 23 years old who live in Germany and Israel
Beginning in Germany 20th – 27th of July 2015
Ending in Israel 4th – 11th of October 2015
The idea
What is the meaning of the Holocaust and the memory of it for young adults and their (political) acti ons today? The organization is looking for 18 young people from Germany and Israel, aged 18 - 23 years, to find answers to this question. The participants research the history of their grandparents and great grandparents. The results will be presented on a web page.
The project
The website is will be designed as a visual board. It shows the open-ended discussion of the individual participants. This can be, for example: research results, notes and memories of their own family history and cinematic and journalistic discussion of the results. An integral part of this project is the producion of a short film.
What you get:
iPad and equipment
A youth exchange in Germany and Israel
Preparation of subject matter together with historians and educators
Basics of cinematic and journalistic storytelling
personal support during the project phase
Certificate and DVD with all the resulting short films
The schedule
The project will run for three months and consists of 3 phases
1st phase:
first practical workshop in Germany from the 20th – 27th of July, 2015
Getting to know and the first exchange with all participants
regards content seminar about the Shoah
Introduction to the camera and sound technology, basics of cinematic, storytelling
First shootings of movie sequences
Basics of Filmediting and how to save the material, editing the first filmsequences and set on the project website
Basics of journalistic storytelling and processing of multimedia contents, writing a short essay and putting them into the website
Discuss results - Idea development and storyboard for a short film- Trip to Berlin
2nd phase:
second practice workshops (intermediate level)
Middle / end of August 2015 (2.5 days) in the home countries
Discussion of the previous work on the website, supplements
Meeting of the filmed material for short film, reshoots
saving the materials for the final cut
3rd phase: Project Completion and presentation of short films in Israel 4th – 11th of October, 2015
Evaluation of the project
Discussing the short films
Presentation of short films in the cinema
Delivery of the certificates and DVDs
Visit to Yad Vashem
A day at the sea in Tel Aviv

Note: There is a requirement of a small payment of € 110,00/person. This depends on the financial ability of the participants. Exceptions are possible.
